Social comms and leadership… in Fiji
A great discussion was had with this group of vibrant women in Fiji as part of the Asian Development Bank‘s Leadership Development Program. Among other things, we talked about:
- How we are positioned and communicated – an enterprise, ourselves, leadership – is more shaped and influenced by many more social channels and tools than has ever been the case previously
- How we are operating in an increasingly networked society and this means new ways of and opportunities for leading
- Challenge your thinking about social media, and highlight some ways that social communication can make an impact in unexpected ways: collective impact as well as personal impact
- Examples of how social media can work for you as a leader of your organisation: demonstrating thought leadership, acknowledging employees and customers, responding to customers, learning from others and spotting new talent
- How to find your voice and make an impact personally as a leader
